An Indian Air Force (IAF) Jaguar fighter jet crashed in Panchkula, Haryana, after taking off from Ambala airbase for a routine training sortie.

The pilot ejected safely before the crash, maneuvering the aircraft away from inhabited areas.

The IAF confirmed that the crash was caused by a system malfunction.

No casualties or injuries have been reported.

Authorities have ordered a Court of Inquiry to investigate the incident.
